Dinefwr Photographic Society

Dinefwr Photographic Society was formed in 2007 by Hugh Gillings to create a place where aspiring photographers of all skill levels could meet, share and expand their knowledge. Hugh's philosophy was simple, have fun and enjoy your photography, learn, share and make friends. Based in Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, the society is a group of friendly like-minded individuals who share a passion for photography.

The society welcomes both beginners and experienced photographers alike in order that individuals can explore their creative talents and share their knowledge, skills and ideas with each other. Unlike many clubs, the society is non competitive and is run in a relaxed and informal manner.

Our programme for 2026 starts on 10th September. Anyone interested in joining can attend the first few meetings free, annual membership is £40.

The ethos of the society is based on sharing ideas, skills and knowledge. We welcome all abilities from beginners to experts. We have tutorial evenings, workshops, guest speakers, field trips and other activities along with an annual exhibition. We aim to create a society that offers something for every one. The society welcomes fresh ideas and is always driven by the membership.

If you have an interest in photography and would like to expand your skills, further your knowledge and be inspired by others, then you could benefit from coming along and being in the company of friendly like minded individuals. Why not come along and meet us.
